At Least 1 Injured; 1 Driver Flees on Foot, Possibly Intoxicated
GRASS VALLEY, California (October 4, 2016) – A suspected DUI hit-and-run collision occurred in the area of Magnolia and Trotter roads on Tuesday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when two unknown vehicles collided head-on about 7:20 p.m. at the intersection.
As per the report, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least one person who was confirmed to have been injured upon impact. The extent of the injuries sustained was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, one of the drivers involved fled on foot following the crash. That motorist was believed to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The collision is still under investigation.
