1 Killed in Grass Valley Head-On Crash Near Brunswick Road and Brunswick Pines
GRASS VALLEY, CA (September 17, 2021) – At least one was killed after a crash near Brunswick Road and Brunswick Pines Road in Grass Valley.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident as a head-on collision on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Grass Valley. They crashed near the intersection of Brunswick Road and Brunswick Pines Road.
Multiple Cars Collide
The dispatch described the cars involved as a burgundy Honda Pilot SUV, a dark gray minivan and a gold colored Nissan. Two of them obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and rescued a possible trapped occupant from the wreckage.
Medical personnel then confirmed that one victim died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased person remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced Brunswick Road to shut down both directions at East Bennett Road and Loma Rica Drive following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Grass Valley crash is still under investigation.
