Skateboard Rider Killed in Grass Valley Hit-and-Run on Alta Street Near Dolores Drive
GRASS VALLEY, CA (October 30, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a skateboard rider near Alta Street and Dolores Drive in Grass Valley.
According to the CBS Sacramento and ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 4:30 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck a female who was riding her skateboard at the time. The driver hit her for an unknown reason on Alta Street near the intersection with Dolores Drive in Grass Valley.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim left lying on the ground. She died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased skateboarder has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and then fled the area.
They described the car as a Nissan with possible front-end damage, including the grille and headlights. Officers forced a stretch of Alta Street to shut down near Dolores following the incident.
