Man, 62, Seriously Injured in Graton Hit-and-Run Crash on Green Valley Road
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (October 11, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash on Green Valley Road, west of Graton.
According to an article published by The Press Democrat, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7 a.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was crossing Green Valley Road near the area of Graton. At the same time, a vehicle was going west.
The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the driver then struck the 62-year-old Sebastopol man. The crash occurred between Thomas and Green Valley School roads.
Pedestrian Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. They described the car as a red colored sedan.
Officers forced a stretch of Green Valley Road to shut down following the crash. The cause of the Graton hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
