Passenger Injured After Collision Near Springfield Road Thursday
Sonora, CA (January 20, 2022) – Green Selene, a 25-year-old man, suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash that occurred on Shaws Flat Road Thursday evening.
According to My Motherlode News, Selene was a passenger in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup traveling in the streets of Sonora. Earlier reports indicated the pickup collided with a 2014 Mazda sedan near the junction at Springfield Road.
The car accident took place shortly before 11 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found at least one passenger with injuries. Paramedics treated Green Selene, of Sonora, for minor injuries. It was not immediately known if the patient was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Chevrolet and Mazda both showed signs of intoxication. Police then arrested both men for DUI.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
