Child Injured in Greenfield Pedestrian Crash Near Elm Avenue and 4th Street

GREENFIELD, CA (September 16, 2022) – A child was hospitalized after a pedestrian crash near Elm Avenue and 4th Street in Greenfield.

According to an article published by the KSBW News, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on September 15 shortly before 4 p.m.

Police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck the young pedestrian for an unknown reason in Greenfield. The driver hit the juvenile near the intersection of Elm Avenue and 4th Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They found the child who ended up hurt as a result of the pedestrian collision.

An air ambulance took the patient to a Bay Area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the condition of the wounded party at this time.

Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. They soon arrested the person for driving without a license.

Officers forced the area of Elm Avenue and 4th Street to shut down after the accident. The cause of the Greenfield pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
