2-Vehicle, Major Injury Crash on State Route Highway 89
GREENVILLE, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2021) — A major-injury Greenville car accident happened on Highway 89 Thursday morningnear Greenville Wolf Creek Road.
The traffic accident took place on State Route 89 about 5:56 a.m. on Dec. 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report two vehicles including a white pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances. Both vehicles suffered major front-end damage in the Greenville crash and blocked both northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 89. Also, one of the vehicles caught on fire under its hood.
Two people became trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters responded and extricated them prior to transporting them to a hospital. At least one person was airlifted to the Indian Valley Hospital due to major injuries.
There is no further information about the Greenville crash on Highway 89 at this time.
