Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Greenwood Crash at Highway 193 and Derrick Lane
GREENWOOD, CA (March 20, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Highway 193 and Derrick Lane in Greenwood.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 3:28 p.m.
The incident happened on March 18 when the motorcycle rider and a sedan collided for an unknown reason in the Greenwood community of El Dorado County.
The two crashed at the intersection of Highway 193, known as Georgetown Road, and Derrick Lane

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the California Conservation Corps. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Highway 193 and Derrick Lane to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Greenwood crash is still under investigation.
