Greg Ammen and Grace Spiridon Killed in Redwood City Crash on El Camino Real
REDWOOD CITY, CA (November 5, 2022) – Greg Ammen and Grace Spiridon were killed after a car crash in Redwood City.
Family members identified the couple and their two children as victims of the fatal wreck which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Greg Ammen, Grace Spiridon and their two 7-year-old daughters were traveling on El Camino Real in Redwood City.
A witness said two drivers were racing at the same time in the area. At least one of the motorists struck the family car that pulled out into the intersection with Finger Avenue.
Two vehicles obtained major damage and then came to a rest on the west sidewalk of El Camino. Police said one of them caught fire due to the impact of the collision.
2 Girls Injured in Wreck
The NBC Bay Area and CBS San Francisco wrote that the accident occurred on November 4 shortly before 8 p.m. Greg Ammen and Grace Spiridon died as a result of the crash.
The two girls riding with them survived the incident with minor injuries. Paramedics arrived and rushed them to a hospital for further aid.
The other driver, a 17-year-old, and two other people in the same vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries following the wreck.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of El Camino and Finger to shut down for a time after the collision. The cause of the Redwood City crash is still under investigation.
