PERRIS, California (Oct. 24, 2017) — Gregori Baiza, 24, of Perris has been arrested on DUI charges following an injury crash on N. Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision took place about 7:45 a.m. on Monday morning in the 1600 block of North Perris Boulevard in front of Perris High School.
Baiza was driving a Honda Civic and heading northbound when he allegedly failed to slow down for traffic ahead and rear-ended a Mercedes Benz.
The Perris Police Department responded and determined that Baiza was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He was also unlicensed and uninsured.
The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, but were not taken to hospitals for treatment. Baiza was taken to a hospital for medical clearance before being booked on DUI charges at Cois M. Byrd Detention Facility in Murrieta.
