Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Heber Road
Heber, CA (May 12, 2022) – Gregorio Gomez, an 89-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 111.
The Imperial Valley Press News reported multiple vehicles collided on the highway just south of Heber Road. Our sources indicated the crash took place early Sunday morning.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found as many as three vehicles with significant damage. The make and model of the cars involved in the wreck remained undisclosed.
Gregorio Gomez Dies in Heber Car Accident on Highway 111
Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims in the accident. According to the article published online, at least one person sadly died in the collision. The Imperial County Coroner’s Officer identified the fatal victim as Gregorio Gomez, of Holtville.
Authorities added two other parties suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The names of the injured parties, and the extent of their trauma have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives handling the case stayed at the scene for several hours. They continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the unfortunate event on Highway 111 in Heber.
