Gregorio Hernandez, 53, Killed in Lakeside Head-On Crash
LAKESIDE (October 1, 2018) – The passenger killed after a traffic collision on Wildcat Canyon Road last week Thursday has been identified Gregorio David Hernandez, according to San Gabriel Union-Tribune.
San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said the 53-year-old El Cajon man was a victim of a tragic accident on September 27 at about 5:45 a.m., just north of Buena Creek Road.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said a 1992 Honda Accord was speeding south on Wildcat Canyon Road when at the same time a 2013 Porsche Cayenne was going north.
Woman, 43, Seriously Hurt in Wildcat Canyon Accident
The Honda swerved into the opposite lane where it collided head-on with the Porsche. The Accord was cut in half as a result of the crash.
Hernandez and the 21-year-old female driver of the Honda were both ejected from their car upon impact. Hernandez died at the scene while the El Cajon woman was flown to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old woman driving the Porsche was rushed to a hospital with major injuries. Her name and condition at this time were not disclosed.
