Gregory Anderson, 71, Killed in Simi Valley Bicycle Crash on Royal Avenue
SIMI VALLEY, CA (December 27, 2021) – Gregory Anderson was killed after a bicycle crash on Royal Avenue in Simi Valley.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 71-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last week on Friday.
The incident happened when Gregory J. Anderson was riding a bicycle on Royal Avenue in Simi Valley. Police said for an unknown reason, an SUV struck him.
Bicyclist Hit by Car
The car and the bicyclist collided just west of First Street. The Ventura County Star wrote that the accident occurred on December 24 shortly before 7:10 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the rider down on the ground. Gregory Anderson sustained serious injuries as a result of the bicycle crash.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the cyclist.
