Gregory Turnage Jr., 41, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Park Boulevard
Oakland, CA (July 8, 2021) – On May 9, 41-year-old Gregory Turnage Jr. died following a hit-and-run collision on Park Boulevard.
The East Bay Times reported Gregory Turnage Jr. was standing on the sidewalk along Park Boulevard. Investigators determined was out for his daily walk at that time.
At approximately 5:14 p.m., the driver of a Lexus GS failed to navigate a turn while traveling north on Park Boulevard. The vehicle jumped onto the curb, and struck Gregory Turnage Jr.

Officials confirmed the pedestrian suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Primary reports indicated Gregory Turnage Jr. left behind a 10-year-old son and his partner–Angie Brey.
According to the article published online, the driver of the Lexus fled the scene on foot following the horrible crash. The suspect however turned himself in a day later.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
