2 Adults, 1 Juvenile Badly Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 139 Monday
Susanville, CA (November 10, 2021) – Gretea Ciccarellan, and two other people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 139 on November 8, Monday.
According to Lassen County Times, a 35-year-old man was behind the wheel of a 2000 Challenger Class A motorhome traveling on the highway just north of Susanville. Officials believed the driver lost control of the mobile home while descending the grade.
The motorhome reportedly clipped the left mirror of the a 2014 Buick Encore while driving out of control. Subsequently, the mobile home veered off the roadway and hit the embankment. The force from the impact caused the motorhome to partially overturn and disintegrate.
Our sources reported the driver of the 2000 Challenger Class A motorhome; and the 15-year-old juvenile passenger were both ejected during the crash. Responding paramedics immediately checked the conditions of both parties. After the evaluation, they determined the driver and juvenile passenger both suffered head trauma as a result of the incident.
Gretea Ciccarellan, 2 Others Hospitalized After Car Accident in Susanville
Authorities added another passenger in the mobile home, 62-year-old Gretea Ciccarella, suffered injuries. According to the article published online, the female passenger sustained major trauma including injuries to her wrist.
Paramedics transported all three patients to the hospital for treatment, and further evaluation.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident on Highway 139 in Susanville.
