1 Seriously Injured in Groveland Crash
GROVELAND, Tuolumne County (August 11, 2017) – A major injury collision took place Friday afternoon along Highway 120, also known as Main Street, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The accident was reported about 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 120 and Ferretti Road, just east of Ellie’s Cafe and Pizzeria.

As per the incident log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to at least one person who was confirmed to have been seriously hurt following the crash. The victim was apparently taken to a nearby hospital for further medical aid and evaluation.
Meanwhile, the name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown. The dispatch also did not include how many vehicles or people were involved. Authorities are still investigating the collision.
Motorists in general are obliged to practice road safety precautions and follow traffic rules to avoid auto accidents. Factors such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, excessive speed, distracted driving and negligence are being investigated at this time.
