1 Killed in Collision at Trouville Avenue and 13th Street
Grover Beach, CA (July 28, 2022) – One person died following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Trouville Avenue and 13th Street Wednesday evening.
Fire Engine Hits Bicyclist in Grover Beach
The KSBY News reported a man was riding an electric bike traveling in the streets of Grover Beach. Our sources indicated the cyclist drove through the intersection and went directly into the path of an oncoming fire engine.
The catastrophic incident took place at approximately 10:20 p.m.
According to the article published online, the force from the impact ejected the man from his bike. Three firefighters stepped out of the engine, and rendered aid to the bicyclist. Rescue teams transported the victim to Arroyo Grande, where he later sadly succumbed to his injuries. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 29-year-old Arroyo Grande resident.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly crash that happened at Trouville Avenue and 13th Street in Grover Beach.
