Motorcyclist Killed in Grover Beach Crash at 4th Street and Newport Avenue
GROVER BEACH, CA (July 12, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash at 4th Street and Newport Avenue in Grover Beach.
According to an article published by The Tribune and KSBY News, the tragic wreck took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at around 2:36 p.m.
Grover Beach police said a male motorcycle rider and a white SUV collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of 4th Street and Newport Avenue.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the motorcyclist down on the ground. He sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the SUV did not sustain any wound. Officials forced the area of 4th Street and Newport Avenue to shut down near Brighton and Saratoga following the wreck.
