Homeless Woman Fatal Victim in Hit-and-Run Collision at Parking Lot on Broadway
Millbrae, CA (October 6, 2021) – 53-year-old Gryselda Joseph died following a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Broadway on September 20, Monday.
The East Bay Times News reported officers found Gryselda Joseph, an unhoused woman, lying in the parking lot of a Starbucks in the 513 block of Broadway in Millbrae. Preliminary investigation revealed the victim had injuries consistent to being hit by a vehicle. Responding paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the woman but she sadly died at about 11 a.m.
Gryselda Joseph, 53, Killed in Millbrae Pedestrian Accident
San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Gryselda Joseph.
During the investigation process, detectives found a surveillance video of the catastrophic incident. Our sources indicate a BMW SUV, driving at a high rate of speed, hit Gryselda Joseph. Officials mentioned the driver run the woman over several more times before fleeing the scene.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
