Guillermina Gonzalez, 37, Killed in Menifee Crash on Encanto Drive
MENIFEE, CA (December 5, 2021) – Guillermina Gonzalez was killed after a DUI crash on Encanto Drive in Menifee.
The coroner’s office identified the 37-year-old Perris woman as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday evening.
The incident began when Guillermina Maria Gonzalez was driving north on Encanto Drive in Menifee. At the same time, another vehicle was going south.
For an unknown reason, the southbound driver swerved into the northbound lanes. Deputies said in the process, the two collided head-on north of Rouse Road.
DUI Driver Hits Another Car Head-On
A tire from one of the cars involved ended up hitting a third car in the area. The Press Enterprise and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on December 4 at about 6:15 p.m.
Guillermina Gonzalez died at the scene of the crash. Officers added that one person sustained major injuries while another survived with minor wounds.
Paramedics took both patients to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police determined that the woman who veered into the opposite lane was under the influence at the time.
Officers soon arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI. The Menifee crash is still under investigation.
