Guillermina Lara, 71, Killed in Fresno County Crash at Manning and Marks
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 14, 2022) – Guillermina Lara was killed after a car crash at Manning and Marks avenues in Fresno County.
The coroner’s office identified the 71-year-old Fresno woman as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Guillermina Carapia Lara was driving a Honda south on Marks Avenue, approaching Manning Avenue, in Fresno County.
Big Rig and Car Collide
She came to a stop at the stop sign and then pulled into the intersection. A big rig approached and in the process slammed into her car.
The California Highway Patrol said the truck did not have a stop sign at the time of the collision. The FOX 26 News and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident occurred on July 13 at around 6:40 p.m.
Guillermina Lara died at the scene of the crash. The man operating the big rig ended up unharmed following the incident.
CHP forced the area of Manning and Marks avenues to shut down for hours after the wreck. The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
