Guillermo Salazar, 21, Killed in Oxnard Crash at Wooley Road and E Street
OXNARD, CA (February 26, 2021) – A motorcycle crash killed Guillermo Salazar near Wooley Road and E Street in Oxnard.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 21-year-old Oxnard man as the victim of the fatal wreck on Monday evening.
The incident happened on February 22 when Guillermo A. Salazar was riding a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle. For an unknown reason, he collided with a 2009 Mercedes-Benz.
Oxnard police said the two crashed near the intersection of Wooley Road and E Street. According to The Ventura County Star, officers reported the accident at around 6:50 p.m.
Motorcycle vs Car Collision Near Driffill Elementary School
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the southwest corner of Driffill Elementary School. The area is located in the Hobson Park East neighborhood.
Medical personnel found Guillermo Salazar who suffered multiple blunt force injuries as a result of the collision. They rushed him to Ventura County Medical Center, where he died.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver of the Mercedes sustained injuries upon impact. Authorities soon forced Wooley Road and E Street to close for a time following the crash.
