2 Hospitalized After Collision Near Hoffman Lane
Yountville, CA (October 24, 2022) – Gurdip Malhi, a 60-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 29.
The Napa Valley Register reported two vehicles collided on SR-29 Friday evening. Preliminary investigation revealed Malhi, of Fairfield, was behind the wheel of a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban heading north on the highway. When the man approached the area near Hoffman Lane, a 2016 Jeep Cherokee slammed into the rear of the Chevrolet.
The force from the impact caused the Chevrolet to spin out of control; and careen towards the direction of Washington Street. The Chevrolet came to a stop after crashing into a utility pole, and a fence.
Major Car Accident on Highway 29 in Yountville
Shortly after 9:05 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the two drivers. According to the article published online, medical personnel transported Gurdip Malhi and the other motorist to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment of moderate to major injuries.
Investigators stayed at the scene the whole evening. At this time, they continue to work to determine the precise cause of the crash that happened on Highwya 29 in Yountville.
