Reedley Man, 31, Struck by Two Vehicles on Manning Avenue
Reedley, CA (April 23, 2025) — Gurminder Singh, 31, of Reedley, died Monday night in a pedestrian accident on Manning Avenue, just east of Englehart Avenue in Reedley.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) – Fresno Area is investigating the circumstances leading up to the deadly collision at 8:35 p.m. on April 21st, 2025.
Two drivers were involved in the crash that ended the life of the 31-year-old Reedley man who was walking in the eastbound lane of Manning Avenue, the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner reports.
The man was initially hit by a 22-year-old woman driving an eastbound Hyundai Elantra who told authorities she was unable to see the man due to the darkened roadway where there are no street lights.
Upon impact, he pedestrian was thrown down on the ground along Manning Avenue.
Meanwhile, a second vehicle, a Honda Accord driven by a 27-year-old female, was unable to avoid the pedestrian lying in the roadway and he was hit again.
Paramedics responded and requested a Skylife Helicopter to transport the man to Community Regional Medical Center due to major injuries. However, despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian died at the hospital.
Investigators working on the case do not suspect alcohol and/or drugs are factors in the collision.
