1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized After Collision at Highway 58 and H Street
Bakersfield, CA (March 8, 2023) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Highway 58 and H Street.
According to Lodi News, five vehicles collided for an unknown reason at the intersection in Bakersfield. The horrible crash took place on March 2, Thursday.
Earlier reports indicated the wreck involved a 2016 Kenworth tractor-trailer, and a GMC Sierra. Officials added a Toyota Tacoma, a Volvo, and a 2014 Peterbilt tractor trailer were also found at the scene.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the driver of the GMC unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 55-year-old Bakersfield man.
Gurwinder Singh Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Bakersfield
Meanwhile, the 2016 Kenworth tractor-trailer was identified as 24-year-old Gurwinder Singh. The article published online mentioned Singh sustained major injuries in the crash. Due to the serious condition of the man, medical personnel transported him to a Kern County hospital for treatment.
Several factors surrounding the catastrophic incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened at Highway 58 and H Street.
