GUSTINE, California (March 12, 2017) – Four were hospitalized after a major injury collision on the Interstate 5 Freeway Sunday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a black SUV, a white sedan and possibly a third vehicle collided about 4:14 p.m. The wreck occurred on the northbound 5 Freeway, just south of Highway 152.
As per the report, paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a total of four people who were hurt following the crash. At least one of them suffered serious injured in the accident.
Three patients were taken by ground ambulance to the hospital while the fourth victim was airlifted for treatment. The names of the victims and their condition at this time were not released.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
