1 Injured in Gustine Crash on Eastbound Highway 152 Near Romero Visitor Center
GUSTINE, CA (May 24, 2021) – At least one was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 152 near Romero Visitor Center in Gustine.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the accident last week on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:30 p.m.
The incident happened on May 20 when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Gustine. They crashed on eastbound Highway 152 just west of Romero Visitor Center.
Multi-Car Collision in Gustine
CHP described two of the cars involved as a white Toyota 4Runner and a red sedan. According to their report, the sedan obtained major front-end damage due to the impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the San Luis Reservoir Visitor Center. They found one person who suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Memorial Hospital Los Banos for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 152 to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Gustine crash.
