1 Seriously Injured in Gustine Crash on Interstate 5 Near Taglio Road
GUSTINE, CA (November 6, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 5 near Taglio Road in Gustine.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident early Saturday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 12:52 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Gustine. They crashed on the southbound side of the Interstate 5, just north of Taglio Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log added that one of the vehicles involved went into a ditch, overturned and caught fire upon impact. The other obtained major front-end damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Taglio following the wreck. The cause of the Gustine crash is still under investigation.
