HACIENDA HEIGHTS, California (March 23, 2016) — At least one person was hurt Wednesday afternoon in a fiery crash between a van and a white box truck on the westbound State Route 60 Pomona Freeway at 7th Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
Police rushed to the scene of the 1:17 p.m. crash where they found the van overturned onto its die and engulfed in flames in the fast lane. A female driver was stuck inside the vehicle and firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were at the scene to help free the woman from the vehicle.
A SigAlert was issued due to the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes being blocked by the vehicles. Paramedics were at the scene to help the injured.
Police are heading up an investigation into the crash to determine liability.
