2-Vehicle Crash on SR-1 Cabrillo Highway at Verde Road
HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2021) — A Half Moon Bay crash happened Thursday on State Route Cabrillo Highway 1, just north of Verde Road.
The two-vehicle traffic accident happened about 3:43 p.m. on Nov. 18th, just north of the Marin’s Beach parking lot entrance, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A blue Volkswagen Golf reportedly crashed into the back of a black Ford Explorer SUV on the northbound side of Cabrillo Highway due to unknown circumstances, the CHP reported.
Minor Injury Half Moon Bay Crash on Highway 1
A 50-year-old man suffered injuries, but was conscious and breathing, according to the CHP dispatch report. Paramedics responded due to minor injuries and transported at least one person to a hospital.
The CHP report did not mention the identity of either of the drivers involved or their passengers.
Meanwhile, tow trucks came to remove the Volkswagen with major front-end damage and the SUV with major rear-end damage.
Investigators will determine liability for the Half Moon Bay crash.
