1 Killed, 1 Critical After Collision at 12th Avenue and Excelsior Avenue Wednesday
Hanford, CA (August 26, 2021) – On August 25, Wednesday, a fatal car crash occurred in the area of 12th and Excelsior Avenue.
The Sentinel News reported a 21-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a vehicle pulling out of a private driveway. When the 2012 Jeep Compass got onto the roadway, it collided with a white Ford F-250 pickup truck.
Officials confirmed the catastrophic incident took place at the intersection of 12th and Excelsior Avenue in rural King County.
Deadly Car Crash in Hanford, August 25
Shortly after 3:55 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics found the driver and passenger of the Jeep with serious injuries. The article published online mentioned the female motorist was taken by ambulance to Adventist Health in Hanford. Medical personnel later confirmed the driver eventually succumbed to her injuries and died.
Authorities added the passenger suffered severe injuries as a result of the wreck. A helicopter reportedly transported the patient to Community Regional Medical Center in Downtown Fresno. At this time, the name of the injured passenger and their condition remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford received treatment at the scene; and eventually cleared to go home.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the fatal car crash at 12th and Excelsior Avenue in Hanford.
