Woman, 20 Victim in Hanford Crash; Boy Hospitalized

July 3, 2018- According to the Hanford Sentinel, a deadly 2-car collision was reported last week at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Idaho Avenue.
At roughly 9:00 a.m., California Highway Patrol officials responded to an accident between Nissan and a 2018 Hyundai.
According to the report, a 46-year-old woman of Lemoore had been the driver of the Nissan traveling eastbound along Idaho Avenue. As she entered the intersection at 14th, the Nissan driver blew through a stop sign triggering the crash with the Hyundai driven by a 20-year-old woman of Hanford accompanied by a young boy.
Both of the vehicles ultimately ended up off the road crashing into an orchard.
Following the crash, the 20-year-old woman suffered major grave injuries and was rushed to Adventist Medical Center. She sadly succumbed to her injuries at the hospital shortly after being admitted.
Meanwhile, the juvenile passenger was also moderate to badly hurt. He was originally taken to Adventist Med Center as well before being restationed at Valley Children’s Hospital located in the city of Madera.
Per the report, the 46-year-old woman in the Nissan was also taken to Adventist Med Center. Her condition is unknown at this time.
CHP officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol to have played a role in the crash but continue to proceed on with their investigation.
