Families Injured in Car Crash on Highway 43 Friday
Hanford, CA (April 2, 2021) – Several people suffered injuries following a car accident on Highway 43 Friday afternoon, according to Your Central Valley.
Driver Rans Red Light, Car Accident in Hanford
Earlier reports indicated a Toyota Scion was seen traveling at a high-rate of speed heading south on Highway 43. When the Scion approached the intersection at Houston Avenue, the female driver reportedly ran a red light.
The Scion ended up colliding with a Toyota Tacoma a the Hanford junction. Officials said the Tacoma was occupied by a family of four.
Per news article published online, the Tacoma rolled over and landed on its side. During the crash, the Tacoma struck a Dodge Ram pickup truck hauling an RV. Investigators determined the Ram was also occupied by a family with five members.
Medical personnel arrived at the site shortly after 2 p.m and rendered aid to possible victims. Our sources confirmed the occupants of the Tacoma and the Ram suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. The names of the people hurt in the accident, and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver of the Scion required hospitalization due to the severity of her injuries. An air ambulance transferred the patient to an area hospital for treatment.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car accident in Hanford.
