Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hanford Crash at Lacey and Coast

HANFORD, CA (May 20, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Lacey Boulevard and Coast Avenue in Hanford.

A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision on May 17 at about 8:30 p.m.

The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Hanford. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Lacey Boulevard and Coast Avenue.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the accident.

Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist involved stopped and stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced the area of Lacey and Coast to shut down after the incident.

The cause of the Hanford pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
