Hannah Nghaite, 30, Killed in Santa Fe Springs Hit-and-Run Near Parkmead and Pioneer
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (January 2, 2022) – Hannah Nghaite was killed after a hit-and-run crash in Santa Fe Springs.
Police identified the 30-year-old woman as the victim of the fatal accident which took place on Thursday morning.
The incident happened when Hannah Nghaite was walking near the intersection Parkmead Street and Pioneer Boulevard in Santa Fe Springs. At the same time, a vehicle was going south on Pioneer.
For an unknown reason, the driver struck the pedestrian in a crosswalk. After some time, a second motorist ran over her in the roadway.
2 Drivers Hit Pedestrian, Flee Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found Hannah Nghaite left lying on the ground. She sustained serious injuries due to the impact the collision.
The victim died as a result of the crash. The Whittier Daily News and CBS Los Angeles wrote that the accident occurred on December 30 at around 6:50 a.m.
Meanwhile, police added that the suspects did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They described the cars as a dark-colored 4-door sedan and a white 2011-2015 Nissan Rogue.
The Nissan possibly obtained front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses of Hannah Nghaite following the hit-and-run crash.
The Santa Fe Springs hit-and-run incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 562-567-9261.
