Hannah Pimentel, 19, Fatal Victim After Police Chase Ends in Car Accident on Stanislaus Street
Fresno, CA (May 13, 2021) – Hannah Pimentel, a 19-year-old Clovis resident, died after a police chase led to a car crash on Stanislaus Street Wednesday afternoon.
The ABC30 News reported the pursuit started in Chinatown. According to the article published online, the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) were tracking down a gang member wanted for several weapons violations.
When officers spotted a black Ford Focus driven by a suspect, a California Highway Patrol deputy with the MAGEC attempted to pull over the driver. However, the suspect failed to yield and took off at a high rate of speed. For this reason, officers launched a pursuit.
Our sources indicated Ford driver tossed out a loaded AR-15 rifle while in the middle of the chase. In an attempt to evade the police, the Ford driver went against traffic on Stanislaus Street and slammed into a BMW driven by Hannah Pimentel.
Authorities said the innocent woman behind the wheel of the BMW sadly died as a result of the crash. On Thursday, Fresno police officers identified the fatal victim as Hannah Pimentel.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned the suspect driving the Ford jumped out of his car and ran away. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the hit-and-run car crash on Stanislaus Street is underway.
