At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Collision Near Lower Airport Road Friday
Happy Camp, CA (March 11, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Friday on State Route 96 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a vehicle drifted off the SR-96, also known as Klamath River Highway. The car ended up crashing down the ditch; in the area near Lower Airport Road in Happy Camp. The description of the automobile involved in the collision have not been revealed thus far.

Shortly after 11:19 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found at least one person with serious injuries. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. Authorities continue to investigate at this time the precise circumstances that led up to the collision on State Route 96 in Happy Camp.
