1 Killed, 2 Hurt in Oakhurst Car Accident
OAKHURST, Calif. (July 25, 2018) — Haroleen Sue Bowlan, 69, died in a near head-on crash Tuesday afternoon on Road 222 that left two other people injured, according to a report by Sierra News.
The crash took place about 3 p.m. near Pettitt Road, just past the Old Corral grocery store. Bowlan was driving a Kia sedan that allegedly crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed into a Hyundai SUV with two people inside. Bowlan died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the two people in the Hyundai were trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free them and airlifted the 31-year-old woman driving the vehicle to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno where she is being treated for major injuries. Jessica Woodington, 31, and Ryan Williams, 33, were hospitalized with major and minor injuries respectively.
Police closed down the roadway between Highway 41 and Road 274 to investigate.

At this time, it appears that the driver of the Kia may be responsible for this crash.
