Man, 23, Killed in Harvard Heights Hit-and-Run on Venice Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 26, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian on Venice Boulevard in Harvard Heights.
According to the KTLA News and CBS Los Angeles, the tragic accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the incident shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him in the 2100 block of Venice Boulevard in the Harvard Heights neighborhood.
The road is near Normandie Avenue and Harvard Boulevard.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the 23-year-old man left lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They forced a stretch of Venice Boulevard to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the fatal Harvard Heights hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
