2 Killed, 1 Injured in Hawaiian Gardens Crash at Pioneer and Carson
HAWAIIAN GARDENS (October 13, 2019) – Two were killed and one was injured after a traffic collision in the area of Pioneer Boulevard and Carson Street early Sunday.
According to reports by The Orange County Register and ABC 7 News, the fatal multi-vehicle accident took place about 2:35 a.m.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said for an unknown reason an SUV broadsided another car near the intersection. Another crash involving a third vehicle ultimately occurred.
Multi-Car Accident at Pioneer and Carson in Hawaiian Gardens
The driver of the SUV was ejected from the car while the other operator of the second vehicle was pinned inside the wreckage upon impact.
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the site and pronounced the two motorists dead at the scene.
One occupant riding the third car involved was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, the streets were forced to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the tragic incident remains under investigation.
