Hawk Blaze Bergstorm Drunk Driver in Deadly Car Accident on Highway 299
Whiskeytown, CA (May 19, 2021) – Authorities charged Hawk Blaze Bergstorm with life imprisonment in relation with a fatal DUI collision on Highway 299, the Action News Now reported.
On January 29, 2020, Hawk Bergstorm was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling east on Highway 299. When the vehicle approached near Grizzly Gulch Road , Hawk Bergstorm reportedly crossed the double-yellow center line.
The vehicle ended up crashing head-on into another car.
Woman Killed in Whiskeytown Car Crash, January 29
Shortly after the incident, medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims.
The news article later indicated the innocent woman driving the other car sustained major injuries as a result of the incident. An air ambulance transported the injured driver to Mercy Medical Center. Sadly, the innocent woman succumbed to her injuries and died.
Meanwhile, investigators conducted a preliminary alcohol screening test and determined Hawk Bergstorm was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
On June 18, 2021, officials will sentence Bergstrom at the Shasta County Superior Court.
