Bicyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Hawthorne Boulevard and Imperial Highway
HAWTHORNE, CA (November 21, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Hawthorne Boulevard and Imperial Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 6:05 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Hawthorne. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of Hawthorne Boulevard and Imperial Highway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the 105 Freeway. They soon found the bicyclist hurt as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the rider and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Hawthorne hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
