1 Killed, 2 Injured in Hawthorne Crash Near Van Ness and Imperial
HAWTHORNE, CA (December 4, 2022) – A car crash killed one person and injured two others near Van Ness Avenue and Imperial Highway in Hawthorne.
According to the NBC Los Angeles and My News LA, the tragic accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck on December 3 at about 10:40 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Hawthorne. The cars crashed near the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and Imperial Highway.
2 Vehicles Collide
One vehicle then caught fire due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
Two other people ended up hurt as a result of the incident. Medical personnel rushed both patients to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Van Ness and Imperial to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Hawthorne crash is still under investigation.
