At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Highway 3 Friday
Hayfork, CA (September 24, 2021) – A fatal car crash occurred Friday evening on State Route Highway 3, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a vehicle veered off the traffic lanes while traveling along Highway 3. Officials said the car eventually slammed into a tree in the area near Hayfork Dump Road.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site.

First responders found at least two people trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters worked extensively to pull out the victims. After the successful extrication, paramedics rendered aid to the victims. Despite life-saving measures, at least one person sadly succumbed to their injuries and died.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the fatal car crash in Hayfork.
