HAYWARD, California (May 11, 2016) — The driver of a gray Ford Mustang allegedly rear-ended a Dodge SUV Wednesday morning on the southbound Interstate 880 Nimitz Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 11:59 a.m. this morning and both vehicles were blocking the West Tennyson Road off ramp.
A witness who was driving a Nissan 300 ZX stopped to help those involved at the scene and someone called 911 to report the crash. The Mustang suffered major front-end damage in the crash and paramedics were called to help anyone who was hurt.
Police will investigate the cause of the crash and assign liability.
