
One Injured in Car Accident on Interstate 880 Freeway
HAYWARD, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2023) — At least one person was injured in a Hayward crash on the Nimitz 880 Freeway on Wednesday morning, just north of State Route 92.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound fast lane on the Interstate 880 at around 6:55 a.m. on Dec. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red Mazda 3 and a black sedan were involved. Both vehicles sustained major and moderate rear-end damage in the collision.
The Hayward Fire Department responded and transported one injured person to a hospital, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Hayward crash on the 880 Freeway.
