Cyclist Killed in Collision Near I-880 Offramp

Hayward, CA (May 8, 2023) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on Tennyson Road Sunday night, May 7.

Fatal Bicycle Crash in Hayward

The KRON4 News reported a man riding a bicycle collided with a car in the area east of Interstate 880 Freeway offramp. According to the article published online, the crash resulted in fatal injuries to the cyclist. Shortly after 10:30 p.m., medical personnel arrived and pronounced the cyclist dead. Officials briefly identified the deceased as a 29-year-old Hayward resident.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old male driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. The make and model of the car involved in the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far.

Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Tennyson Road in Hayward.
