At Least 1 Injured After Crash at I-880 Monday
HAYWARD, Ca (March 5, 2020) – A suspected hit-and-run collision occurred Monday afternoon on the Interstate 880 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP logged the accident shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Initial records indicated a man riding a motorcycle collided with another vehicle of unknown type in the southbound side of I-880 at Whipple Road offramp.
Our sources confirmed the crash resulted in injuries. However, the total number of people hurt and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.

Authorities later said one person involved in the mishap evaded the scene before police arrived.
At this time, detectives handling the case continue to investigate the incident as a hit-and-run. Additional details on the suspect have not been revealed thus far.
