Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit by a Car
HAYWARD (August 10, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, an injurious pedestrian accident occurred this afternoon at the cross streets of Hesperian Boulevard and Golf Course Road.
AT roughly 12:15 p.m., an unidentified pedestrian was hit while in a crosswalk while crossing the intersection.
The Hayward Police Department, as well as the Alameda County Fire Department, arrived at the scene to provide assistance with the incident.
Paramedics also appeared and eventually transported the victim to a hospital, according to CHP.
Although not confirmed, it appeared the victim was a younger male, per the CHP dispatch report.
No further details have been provided at this time.

Based on the details provided so far from the report, it seems as though the driver will likely be held responsible for the collision as it is believed the victim was within the means of a marked crosswalk upon being struck. There are still many unanswered questions, however.
