2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 76 Near Pala Casino
PALA, Calif. (April 11, 2022) — A head-on car accident on Highway 76 happened Monday morning near the Pala Casino Resort Spa.
The crash occurred about 5:37 a.m. on April 11th near Pala Mission Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A van and a gray Honda Civic collided when one of the vehicles reportedly “missed the turn” and collided head-on with the other motorist. One vehicle went down the side of the roadway and a person was trapped inside the vehicle.
Paramedics and police responded to the scene to help those hurt in the crash. Medical crews transported one person to Palomar Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Meanwhile, both vehicles required tow trucks to remove them from the roadway.
Investigators are piecing together what happened and will determine fault for the crash. It’s unknown if drugs and or alcohol were factors.
